In School Support
Your teacher/department is on hand to be able to support you with your revision. Questions that arise during revision can be asked to your teacher during class time (check with your teacher for a convenient point in the lesson). Many subjects also provide study support sessions out with class time too. Speak to your teacher for subject specific details.
Mindset for Exams
The S4 pupils who will be sitting exams this year recently attended an in-school workshop from Live N Learn. Pupils were provided with a paper booklet to takeaway which included key messages from the session, including:
- resilience planning
- a blank planner for organising time
- 4 easy steps to make studying happen
- marginal gains for incremental improvement
- advice for coping with stress.
In the run up to the exams, a focus on the small things that can be improved on each day (for example reducing screen time by 15 mins per day) are the marginal gains that can make a big difference. Aim to keep these small gains going all the way through to the May exams. Further information from Live N Learn on all of these topics and more can be found in the links at the bottom of this page.
