Earlston High School was delighted to welcome pupils, families, staff and invited guests to our Senior Celebration of Success Evening, an important occasion in our school calendar dedicated to recognising the academic success, commitment and determination of our senior pupils.

The evening celebrated achievement in its many forms. Subject Academic Awards were presented to pupils who had attained the highest standards within individual subjects, while Subject Achievement Awards recognised those whose exceptional effort, dedication and progress had made them worthy recipients.

We were also delighted to recognise pupils who achieved outstanding results across several qualifications. Special awards were presented to those who attained six A grades at National 5, five A grades at Higher, and an impressive six Higher qualifications.

The evening culminated in the presentation of two of the school’s most prestigious academic honours: the Proxime Accessit and Dux awards. These awards recognise exceptional academic performance and represent the highest standards of scholarship at Earlston High School.

Our guest speaker was former Earlston High School pupil and solicitor Zoe Morrison. Zoe spoke openly about her own journey, sharing experiences of disappointment as well as the resilience and determination that helped her overcome challenges and achieve her goals. Her honest and inspiring message reminded our pupils that success is not always a straightforward journey and that setbacks can help us grow, learn and move forward with renewed purpose.

Every award presented reflected a story of hard work, resilience and ambition. The evening gave our school community an opportunity not only to celebrate excellent examination results, but also to recognise the sustained effort, positive attitude and determination that underpin success.

It was particularly special to share the occasion with the families, friends and members of staff whose encouragement and support have played such an important part in our pupils’ achievements. Their presence helped to make the evening a memorable celebration for everyone involved.

We are immensely proud of all our award recipients and congratulate them on their achievements. They are wonderful ambassadors for Earlston High School, and we look forward to seeing where their talents, commitment and aspirations take them next.
