S1-3 Showcase Evening

Last week S1 parents/carers were invited in for a 'settling-in' appointment with their child's Guidance Teacher. There was the opportunity for both S1 and also S2/3 parents/carers to go into some departments/classes to see and hear what their child experiences in the classroom. Feedback from the evening was extremely positive.

Teacher Professional Learning

During the INSET day on Monday 21st October our teaching staff took part in cross-schools moderation events. They worked collaboratively with colleagues across the other Scottish Borders Council Secondary schools to ensure they are sharing best practice and maintaining the highest standards for our young people.

Cabin Crew Experience Day

On Tuesday 22nd October young people from the Travel & Tourism class spent the day learning about the role of Cabin Crew. The young people were credit to Earlston High School and made the most of this interactive and immersive experience.

Afternoon Tea

The week before the October holidays some of our young people who benefit from our Wellbeing and Inclusion Support service organised and catered an afternoon tea for staff in the school. The standard of baking and the way the young people conducted themselves was exceptional. We are so proud of them all!
